More than 110 Girton Grammar School students celebrated Australia Day by volunteering at the Bendigo Australia Day Celebrations on the banks of Lake Weeroona.
As is now an entrenched Girton tradition, students staffed the Children’s Activity Precinct painting hundreds of children’s faces, making countless balloon animals, supervising clay play and assisting with a multitude of young children’s games.
Volunteering and supporting local activities is an important part of Girton life and Australia Day marks the commencement of the School’s annual Community Service Programme.
