Statement from the Headmaster

Monday 12th September, 2016

“Sadly, I can confirm that Police arrested a student on Friday for a drug related offence.

The School was aware that this event was going to take place and co-operated fully with Police.

This matter now is squarely in the hands of the Police so detail about the actual offence or the student involved cannot be divulged by the School.

What I can say is that we are shocked by this incident and that Girton Grammar School takes a zero tolerance stance when it comes to anything to do with illegal drugs.

We have a duty of care to our students to make sure that School is a safe place to be so any illegal activity of any kind at the School is unacceptable”.
