Four Girton students yesterday ran their hearts out at the School Sports Victoria Loddon Mallee Regional Cross Country Final in St Arnaud, to earn themselves a place in the State Finals on 20th July.
Matilda Moore (10 Riley) and Caitlin Richardson (7 Jenkin) smashed the ’16 girls’ and ’12-13 girls’ courses respectively, and won their races.
Zahli Drummond (9 Jenkin) came 2nd and Sophie Shoebridge (10 Jones) came 7th, in their respective age groups.
Zahli, Matilda and Sophie are all participants in the Girton Sports Excellence Program.
We wish the girls the best of luck for the State Finals at Bundoora on 20th July.
