The Girton Racing Team has competed in the Shell Eco Marathon in Singapore this week and been awarded a US$3,000 Innovation Award for the high-tech thermo electric generator incorporated into the vehicle’s exhaust system.
During competition, the team managed to travel over 500km on one litre of fuel, an incredible effort, which put them 9th in an international field of over 50 internal combustion vehicles.
These outstanding results are the culmination of over a year of vehicle and team preparation.
