Girton Grammar School is proud to announce that the Year Twelve cohort of 2015 has enjoyed a 95% success rate in acquiring a tertiary offer.

 In summary:

  • 95% of students received a first round tertiary offer.
  • 100% of Girton Grammar School’s 2015 Year 12 students who sat for the VCE Certificate achieved it.
  • Some students have chosen to enter the workforce including apprenticeships.

 

Courses Chosen/Offered
Students chose from a wide variety of courses, some of the most popular being from the fields of Commerce, Science, Engineering and Arts. The Health/Sciences were also very popular with students selecting from Medicine, Paramedic Practice, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Psychology. A number of students have also selected to do courses in Business and Law. Other course selections include Environments, Fashion Design, Event Management, Marketing, Exercise and Sports Science and Public Relations.

The most popular destination for students was the University of Melbourne followed by Monash University and La Trobe University.  Other popular destinations were Deakin University and RMIT.

Headmaster, Mr Matthew Maruff, commented, “These results demonstrate a commitment to learning by students, teachers and parents. The relationships shared by these three groups have allowed our students to choose their preferred futures.”
