2018 VCE Tertiary Offers

The School is proud to announce that the Year Twelve cohort of 2017 has enjoyed a 97% success rate in acquiring a tertiary offer.

104 students out of 107 students received a first round offer for tertiary study in 2018.

In summary:

  • 100% of Girton Grammar School’s 2018 Year 12 students who sat for the VCE Certificate achieved it.
  • 104 students of the 107 who applied for a tertiary offer (97%) received a first round offer.
  • 78% of the students received their first preference.

 Courses Chosen/Offered

Students chose from a wide variety of courses, some of the most popular being from the fields of Commerce, Engineering, Arts, Environments, and Law. The Health/Sciences were also very popular with students selecting from Medicine, Paramedic Practice, Physiotherapy and Dentistry. A number of students have also selected Science, Agriculture and Bio-Medicine at the University of Melbourne. Other course selections include Interior Architecture, Fashion Design, Event Management, Marketing, Exercise and Sports Science, Public Relations and the Performing Arts,

The most popular destination for students (21%) was the University of Melbourne followed by La Trobe University, Bendigo and Monash University. Other popular destinations were RMIT and Deakin Universities
